New Procedure for the Biometric Passport
The Embassy publishes the updated application procedure for the new biometric passport, covering NIF registration, pre-registration, and appointment scheduling.
The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Japan announces the updated procedure for applying for the new biometric passport, effective immediately for all applicants residing in Japan.
Applicants must first obtain a free Tax Identification Number (NIF) at e-nif.dgirdc.cd, then complete online pre-registration at passeport.gouv.cd, including payment of the 75 USD passport fee. An appointment with the Embassy can be scheduled 7 days after payment for biometric data capture.
